This kit is meant to replace the yellow pan on a victor style rat trap (may also work with other traps with slight modifications). Converts the standard rat trap to a pull style trigger and Spring block increases spring pressure for trapping weasel.
-Installation tips: You may need to slightly elongate/straighten out the hold down bar (dog) to have it slide into the eyelet of the pull trigger. If the pull trigger will not slide under the staple, pry it up with a screw driver a bit. Once the trigger is in place screw down the screw to it will not slide off the staple.
-For the tension block, use a screw driver to lift the spring ends up and slide the tension block into place so the spring ends sit in the recessed area. Screw to trap with provided hardware.
-A modified trap box may be needed with a lower hole position so the critter just stick its head in the box and it only able to pull the trigger back. It’s recommended to screw the trap down to the box.
